Tonight I'm feeling grateful. Grateful for Eric's co-worker who knitted this adorable outfit for Caelan. Grateful for a hard-working husband who really cares about doing a good job, not just getting the job done. Grateful for the smell of the fall air. Grateful for a new house that we're slowly turning into a home. Grateful for our dreams--big and small--that keep Eric and I up talking at night when we should be in bed. Grateful for good neighbors who keep boredom away. Grateful for a mother who can share my excitement about a new blog. Grateful for a father who is a friend and confidante as well as a role model. Grateful for a sister who talks to me on the phone while she's trying to get lunch for her "littles." Grateful for a faith that gives meaning to my life. Grateful for employers who care as much about my little one as about my work. Grateful for a brother who faithfully watches The Apprentice with me each week so we can talk about how ridiculous it is for the candidates to ignore hints from the Donald. Grateful for Jane Austen whose books have provided me with entertainment for the past week. Grateful for old friends and new. For new beginnings, for old comforts,...for my life.
